We often get asked why we only make iDirres available
as a subscription product.
The simple answer is that it's better value for you.
Let’s look at some simple facts: people often like to buy
software outright because it means they make one payment and
they then own the software licence for life.

That theory works well for many things in life, but
in the fast-changing world of computing the
software you purchase for your computer today
may not work with the latest operating systems tomorrow.
And if you purchase a new computer in the future, you will probably
be required to buy new software.

Do you get support? |
When you buy software outright, you often don’t get
support unless you pay for the extras: training courses,
books, and premium-rate telephone support lines.
It’s a fact that some more enlightened
manufacturers do provide you with a year’s free support
and upgrades, but once it has expired you will have
to pay more for them in future years.
So, one payment for software can come with hidden costs.

How many times can you install your software? |
Manufacturers
may only allow you to install the software a
specific number of times, in order to stop multiple copies of
their software being installed by a sole customer.
If you ever need to reinstall after you have used up all your
licences, often the only
solution is to buy a whole new package.
This can occur, for example, if you buy new computer
hardware or if your old hardware fails.
With iDirres we charge per user. If that
user has six machines then the software can
be installed on all six machines.

Afraid of subscription? |
You may already pay by subscription in other spheres of life. Telephones,
websites and many more items are all paid by this method, bringing many benefits
such as free support and upgrades, and sometimes lower costs.
When we decided to ask customers to subscribe to
iDirres, we made a decision: we wanted our customers to experience the quality of product
and service which we ourselves would want.
We only ask for 28 days notice to stop using iDirres;
you are not tied into long-term contracts.
If you find your business changes, then you have not
wasted money on expensive software licences that
are longer of use.
A huge advantage is that, because we
ask for small monthly payments, you can keep capital
in your business instead of spending on up-front costs.
We provided free on-line support and upgrades; in fact, we
make each new enhancement available to our
customers for no additional cost.
